Due to the detailed 3D-graphics and the time consuming physics simulation it is highly recommended that your computer system matches the following minimum computer specifications to achieve a smooth simulation speed. For best performance and if you want to use 4D-sceneries your system should match the recommended system requirements.

Supported 3D graphic cards

Here we will give an overview of supported 3D graphic cards for aerofly5. Please note
that the 3D graphic card is the most important part to achieve a steady simulation.
Therefore, check BEFORE you purchase the simulator, that your 3D graphic card lives
up to the necessary requirements.

Note: All those graphic cards not listed here are older and slower. They will NOT
work with aerofly5. If you are not sure or your 3D graphic card is not listed here,
please contact us for advice.




Compatible 3D graphic cards:

  • NVIDIA GeForce 8000/9000 series: 8600, 8800, 9600, 9800
  • NVIDIA GeForce 200er series: GTS 240, GTS 250, 260, 275, 280, 285, 295
  • NVIDIA GeForce M series for Notebooks: 8800M, 9700M, 9800M, 160M and 250M
    Ensure you install the special NVIDIA notebook driver version 195.62 or newer!
  • ATI Radeon HD 3000/4000 series: 3650, 3690, 3830, 3850, 3870, 4650, 4670, 4730,
    4750, 4770, 48x0, 5770, 58x0

The performance difference of the above cards is tremendeous. To fully enjoy the 4D sceneries your computer should have a fast graphic card, which should be as least as powerful as the NVIDIA GeForce 9800 with 1GB memory or the ATI HD 4870 with 1GB memory. If you are satisfied with flying only in the photographic sceneries of the aerofly5 a slower graphic card may suffice.

Our recommendation: Currently the ATI Radeon HD 4890 with 1 GB memory is a very good 3D graphic card. This card is capable to perfectly display the demanding 4D sceneries even in full HD resolution of 1920x1200 pixels.



The following radios can be used with no additional adapters:
