Is it possible to use for the aerofly5 a USB interface cable/controller from a different manufacturer?

In general the simulator will only work with either an original IKARUS USB Interface Cable or an original IKARUS USB GameCommander connected to a USB socket on the computer. Without an original component, which contain the Dongle (copy protection), the aerofly5 will not run.

However our Multi-Player Slave Cable or our Universal USB GameCommander can be used as secondary input device. Whether a cable/controller of a different manufacturer will work depends on the operating system recognizing the cable/controller. If your cable/controller is recognized, you may try to enter it in the simulator as a secondary input device. Click on “Controller” in the control bar in the upper screen area, select “Scan for new Controllers”. A window will open up showing all controllers found. Follow the instructions on the screen to calibrate and set up the new device.
