aerofly and OneDrive

aerofly and OneDrive

If you have activated the OneDrive cloud storage service under Win10, the aerofly may create its user directory in the cloud storage. This is perfectly possible, but if the service is not currently activated or the sync is not stable, the aerofly will not have the user directory with all the information such as the transmitter calibration and, above all, the saved activation when it starts.

Typical errors when using OneDrive

A typical occurrence is the question about the product key after each program start and the loss of the transmitter calibration or graphics settings. You can check yourself whether your aerofly installation has stored the user directory in OneDrive using the tm.log Please search for the tm.log file on your computer and open it with WordPad or the editor. If the aerofly on your PC uses OneDrive, you will find the user directory and the path to “OneDrive” in the first lines of the tm.log. 0.xx-sim: user and config folder = ‘C:/Users/username/OneDrive/Documents//aerofly RC /’
Solutions
  • If you need OneDrive under Windows, please always make sure that the service is active before you start the aeroflyRC.
  • If you do not need the cloud storage OneDrive from Win 10, you can find information on how to deactivate it here: Deactivate Win Office support OneDrice
  • If you deactivate OneDrive and restart aerofly, it should write a new user directory locally on the computer with the information from the required re-activation. You will then always find this user directory in C://Users/*MyUsername*/Documents/aerofly
  • If the switch to a local user directory does not work automatically, it would make sense to completely remove and reinstall aerofly after deactivating OneDrive according to these instructions
